The Shetland Jumper is a bona fide menswear classic. An essential transition piece, the hearty sweater is revered for its practicality and enduring style. Our Highlands sweater retains all the iconic details (set-in sleeve, crewneck, ribbed hem & cuffs) but adds some thoughtful enhancements. A subtle textured stitch on the front shoulders and above the sleeve & hem add a restrained touch of texture, making the Highlands more military than collegiate. We've also added a touch of lycra to the traditional 2 X 2 rib for better fit and stability at the cuff and hem (translation: this sweater won't "bag out" on you). We forwent the traditional Scottish Shetland yarn in favor a more luxurious Italian melange yarn.
The fit is trimmer than grandads, but retains enough roominess for comfort and layering. The Highlands is a mid-weight sweater, warm enough for the cold days but breathable should the sun decide to come out. Brushed for a soft hand feel and that signature shaggy look.

Fit
